Colors in the Static

Since they arrived, all the lights went dark
Static voices echo through my heart
I feel them day and night
Like waves beneath my skin
And every morning hurts a little harder

Neon skies and sleepless eyes
Trains keep moving, so do all their lives
But I stay somewhere in between
A quiet storm no one has seen
